Autonomous Robot Update 1
I have been working on my AI robot. It has been going well so far. I will say though, that I have gotten a bit distracted and put so many things on my plate that I have not finished my AI robot yet, which I had planned to do.
This is a valuable lesson of putting the first things first. I was incredibly locked in all summer but I worked on real estate, investing, LIFT Aircraft, selling jerseys, US Synthetic, Startup ideas, AI robot, BYU Differential equations class, and more. So instead of doing 1 or two things well, I ended up doing like 10 things to a small extent.
In terms of what I actually have built so far, I have programmed the camera double servos, the main mecanum wheel motors, manufactured casings for the cameras and NVIDIA Jetson GPU. I’ve gotten the speach function to work, and have the camera’s AI data labeling and depth perception working. I also have the LiDAR starting to work, but have not programmed how it actually makes decisions from what it sees.
Basically I have most of the electronics ready to go, and need to put them together, make the chassis, and troubleshoot everything.
