Life in engineering

A vastly more interesting and rewarding life than school

I do not love school. This may be one of the least hot takes I have ever had, however that doesn’t make it any less true. I do, however, still love engineering even when the work is more practical, and let’s be honest, boring than a monowheel. There is a bit of an disclaimer here that the majority of my work experience has been on an electric helicopter but we are going to ignore that as I fawn over my love for the game of engineering.

Why work is better than school

I may just look at this in a whimsical and overly optimistic way, however I truly feel like work is fun.

This sounds corny, but when I get to work on hands on projects, I feel alive.

Last summer (2025) was my first time being a true part of a legitimate engineering company when I joined Lift Aircraft as an engineering intern. I really enjoyed it. It felt like I was back on my high school robotics team. A group of hardworking people, working together on an engineering project that pushed our abilities, learning as we went, and having fun along the way.

I also desire nothing more than to be a successful entrepreneur. I have many business ideas and working on them just juices me up.

Anyways, work rules, school drools.
